Admission fees / Excursion:
All the admission fees for the National
Parks and attractions, according to the itinerary.
From day 8 in Alice Springs the program
is completed in a private coach with an English diver-guide who has a
thorough knowledge of the country.
Day 6 One day cruise on the Great
Barrier Reef.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is in motels, youth hostels
(6 or 8 people per dormitory depending on the accommodation) or tents (2
people per tent).
Meals:
Full Board except lunch on free days:
8th, 9th and 12th of August 2005
10th and 13th of August 2005 lunch
during flight (according to the flight schedule chosen)
Continental breakfast every morning
From Day 8 to Day 18 :
Breakfast and picnic lunch to be
prepared by the participants the driver- guide will help with the
courses and the preparation of the meals.
Dinners: prepared on a fire or at local
cafes or restaurants.
Day 8 : Buffet-dinner with an
aboriginal dance show in Alice Springs.
For Sydney and Cairns, meals (when
included) are main course + dessert.
Supplements
Sleeping bag for camping can be hired
at an extra cost of $ 13 per head.
WHO ARE THE EXCURSIONS AIMED AT:
Young, energetic, active adults from
ages 25 to 35 who already have a knowledge of English but who wish to
improve their spoken language with a full immersion course with a
difference!!!
BOOKINGS:
A deposit of 500 per person is
required to secure the booking
Balance payable in full 60 days prior
to departure
Should the minimum number of people
(15) not be reached you will receive a full refund of the deposit
At the time of settlement of balance
the final total will be given to you based on the number of
participants. Therefore, you will get the benefit of the reduced rate
based on the number of students at time of bookings being closed i.e. 60
days prior to departure
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW :
In the outback / desert temperatures drop
a lot at night during winter : May to Aug/Sep. Melbourne and Sydney can
be cool during the day between May and Sep. Cairns is always warm to
hot; sometimes cool at night from June to August.
You will need to have with you :
A hat
Solar cream
Mosquito repellent
Swimming costume
A towel when camping
Good shoes to walk on rough surface
Students cards if you hold one
Sheets and pillows are provided in
youth hostels
When camping you will be provided
with :
A 2 man/woman tent
5 cm mattress
a cushion
cutlery , plates, glass
It is wise to bring :
Sheet for camping
Sleeping bag (can be hired here) : $

** We will need to know before arrival.
For luggage, it is advisable to carry a
bag/rucksack rather than a suitcase which usually suffers when driving
on the dirt road.
